Expanding on the partnership agreement announced last year, the new agreement brings greater synergy in sales, research & development, products, and services. Superoperator and WashTec’s dedicated teams will be working closely in each of these areas, paving the way for greater digital ability to car wash clients and innovations.

Digitalization is Needed to Ensure Car Wash’s Success

With the partnership, the two leading technology companies are now pursuing an even more powerful role in supporting the car wash industry’s growing interest in digital transformation. While the consumer demand for digital and mobile services today is a norm, adoption within the car wash sector has been slow or inefficient.

The biggest challenge in the car wash business is low utilisation rates. For example, in Europe, the average UR of a car wash machine is as low as 27 %. After COVID-19, there haven’t been signs of increase, indicating the need for operators to embrace new solutions to ensure their success.

“Superoperator was founded over a decade ago on the idea that the success and future of car washes lies in a great customer experience enabled through digitalisation. This insight hasn’t expired – it’s either go digital or go home,” says Erkki Aminoff, CEO at Superoperator.

Shaping a New Standard in Digital Car Wash Solutions

The partnership between Superoperator and WashTec will redefine the industry standards for digital car wash solutions.

To make the car washes’ switch from analogue to digital operations easier, the Superoperator solution will be pre-installed into all WashTec machines. With the seamless integration, the two companies are not only simplifying operations for car wash operators but also paving the way for future growth and profitability. Together, Superoperator and WashTec are making the car wash experience faster, smarter, and more rewarding for customers and operators alike–a transformation that promotes digital adoption and innovation in the industry worldwide.

”You cannot overestimate the advantages of digitalization, whether you’re a washing machine manufacturer or a car wash operator. WashTec’s hardware is the most advanced and robust in the industry, and Superoperator has proven to have the best software solution to match it. Together, we can bring the power to boost those wash counts and innovate new solutions,” says Michael Drolshagen, CEO at WashTec.
