Ford Explorer Sport Trac: Cargo and Environment-Friendly

Made available in eight trim levels that ranges from the XLT 4.0 L 4x2 to the Limited 4.6 L 4x4, the Ford Explorer Sport Trac is one vehicle that has caught the attention of many Ford enthusiasts. This sport utility vehicle holds four doors and has the capacity to take in a maximum of five passengers in its comfortable cabin. The newest of this model has been the redesigned version for 2007.

The Ford Explorer Sport Trac is very functional. It can be used to load and transport cargo. Fact is, this Ford sport utility vehicle is the first in the industry to offer composite cargo bed to be made up of a tough, corrosion-proof and dent resistant sheet molded material. The back seat of this vehicle is split 60/40. Both of the seat backs could be actually folded flat so much so that there would be greater space for carrying and transporting cargo. The power of this vehicle is due to the standard 4.0 liter SOHC V6 engine. This engine is clean enough that it made the Ford Explorer Sport Trac an EPA-certified low emissions vehicle. This engine has the capacity and capability to produce some 205 units of horsepower at 5,250 rpm and some 242 pound feet of torque at 3,000 rpm.

The Ford Explorer Sport Trac holds a good power plus a fine response. It has the maximum towing capacity of 5,300 pounds. It has an averaged 15 to 16 mpg. It is reasonably balance. The Ford Explorer Sport Trac also boasts of a lean yet nimble body. Space is something that this sport utility vehicle can be generous of. It is seen in its cabin as well as in each individual seat. This vehicle comes available with a collection of colors made available for its exterior. The choices include dark blue, bright red, red fire, pueblo gold, silver birch, dark stone, black, and oxford white.

Features for this vehicle include two-tone cloth bucket seats with map pockets, 2-way adjustable head restraints, an 8-way power driver's seat including power lumbar and Adrenalin nomenclature, manual air conditioning, rear climate controls, premium AM/FM stereo with single CD, clock, four speakers, a speedometer, a tachometer, fuel and oil pressure gauges, a coolant temperature gauge, cargo area lights, a color-keyed tilt steering wheel wrapped in leather, a front speed-sensitive intermittent windshield wipers, a day/night rearview mirror, an overhead console with outside temperature and compass, floor mats, a rubberized textured black flooring, an autolock/relock system, a remote keyless entry system, fog lamps, skid plates, a privacy glass in rear door windows, a solar-tinted windshield and front door windows, power windows, and a power moonroof among many others.
