Congressmen and Senators Selling Out to the Corporate Lobbyists

Author: Lance Winslow

Many believe that Congressmen and Senators are so busy selling out to the Corporate Lobbyists, that they actually forget who put them into office in the first place; the voters remember? The old "for the people and by the people thing" so easily they forget.

Yet if you stop to think about it for a minute, you have to ask yourself; who really did put them into office? Well, who are the Congressmen, Senators and Elected Representatives sent by? It takes money to win an election and that money comes from big payers of needed campaign funds. So in reality these politicians are sent there by the Corporations who pay them so they can fund the media campaigns to shape the minds of the mindless masses?

So abstractly you may wish to consider that point as well. There comes a time in every government when it grows so large and strong that it no longer needs the people. Unfortunately that is a travesty for the people who are said to own their government. I am not so sure we should criminalize business for trying to take the advantage, as that is human nature. But we should have a government, which keeps the playing field level, as there is strength in competition.

In fact the corporations who become lazy end up losing later as they fail to re-invest, upgrade and innovate, because well they do not have too. Until one day it is too late and the cycle of rule breaker and rule maker starts over again. It is a give and take thing. Something more people should be aware of and Ayn Rand and Adam Smith with the invisible hand discussed. So please consider this in 2006, as you watch the events unfold.
